Taradakini

Earlier this year on 10th June, fifteen women were ordained at Akashavana, the FWBO women's retreat centre in Spain. During this three month ordination retreat, one of the participants - Tracy McLoughlin from our Edinburgh Sangha - was ordained into the WBO (Western Buddhist Order) and given the new name of 'Taradakini' (all vowels long except first 'i'). The name means 'she who is a Dakini of Tara'. Her private preceptor was Kalyanavaca. She returned to Edinburgh a few weeks later to a 'welcome home' evening with banners, cards, gifts and Puja on Tuesday 15th July.
